Talking with the enemy…

Published by conjon46385 at 12:10 am under Iraq Edit This

So, now that we have the Democratic Party Leader running for President and a GOP. I think it is time to talk the talk and walk the walk. But the biggest worry is what walk we should walk. Talking with world leaders is what Obama suggests which seems reasonable, and why not if we start talking to these people like equals maybe we can get somewhere. The Iraqis are fighting a civil war, the question that I ask is that who are we to interfere with their civil war; clearly, no one tried to stop us. Also I think that dealing directly with leaders who are our advisory is great. Iran is a force to be reckoned with. I had a professor who has the fear as well as I do about fighting a triple front war. Iran, Iraq and the war on terror (which can be anyone) will wipe out our military and cripple the security of the United States. Iran had a large part in attacking Al Qaida and crippling them in Afghanistan and we return the favor by calling them the axes of evil. We need to talk to the people who have been hurt by an irresponsible remark by an ignorant president.  John McCain refuses to talk to anyone and wants to place sanctions, which if you pay attention to the UN they don’t work. The UN places sanction on Korea, China, Japan and Cuba and to what prevail? The Question: Who is right, John McCain or Barack Obama, and why?

I think Obama is right, and I think he ought to win the election for the very reason John McCain says he shouldn’t - his lack of experience, or rather his lack of “old school” experience. The US has been there now for a number of years and it didn’t work then, and it won’t work just because there’s a new commander-in-chief. It’s time for a new approach. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t but unless we try, we’ll never know. One thing’s for sure, the old way certainly isn’t working!
